Where has 2018 gone?!

Hello folks and welcome back to my terribly inconsistent blog! I think it's past the point of me apologising for being so rubbish at keeping up to date with things. Can we all just except the fact that I am really crap at committing to blogging, very easily distracted, and dare I say quite busy! The truth is I have been feeling terribly uninspired when it comes to blogging. I have a huge back log of posts, but everytime I sit down to get them out there, I loose interest very quickly. I guess I am just going through a creative 'dry' spell. I find it increasingly hard to concentrate on things like blogging. If you're a creative, I am sure you will catch where I am coming from. Every 'creative' has spells like this, where it seems almost impossible to get anything productive done. It is very frustrating!

To add to this uncreative phase, I have been working lots to save money for our travels. We moved jobs, after our last job ended sour and have spent the last month or so going through lots of back and forth awkwardness as we transitioned into our (wonderful) new job. I may or may not write a blog post regarding our bad experience, a little life lesson for us and anyone who has been through the same. Top tip: ALWAYS listen to bad TripAdvisor reviews about management. Ah, the beauty of hindsight...ANYWAY.

I guess there's been a lot going on, and really blogging was not my priorty. And if I am honest, I don't feel as though it ever will be at the top of my list. I love making posts for this little blog of mine. I really love sharing my stories and adventures, but I truly cannot commit to always posting consistently. I will be posting as much and as often as I can from now on, but please understand that this won't be the same day every week.

Now that the season is dying down, I will try and pick up my Inspiring People posts, on a monthly basis instead of fortnightly. My blog is prodiminantly be photography based, with travel bits and bob filling in the gaps.

But anyway, lets stop being all sad and talk about what I am actually doing with my life at this moment in time.

James and I are now working in a little place called Gairloch on the North West Coast of Scotland. Gairloch is part of the NC500 Scottish road trip, so it's a very popular little place. We bagged ourselves a job on Sands Campsite, just outside Gairloch, and we love it! We work hard, but we have managed to save lots of money for our next journey into the unknown. The season comes to an end at the end of October, so sadly we are not here for too much longer. Regardless, we've managed to get our year back on track after a pretty miserable start. We are super happy and have made some really strong bonds with our new work mates. Depending on where our winter takes us, we may find ourselves back here next season! But, since this season is nearly over we have been deserpately trying to book some trips to keep our months full of excitement.

SPEAKING OF WHICH...

We have FINALLY booked a trip to Iceland *EEEEEEEEEE excited noises EEEEEEEEEE*!! It has been on both of our bucket lists for a very, very, very, very long time so we are both extremely excited to be planning a 10 day road trip round the island. It isn't going to be a very relaxing trip, but daaaayuma are we going to get some awesome photographs. SO YEH, that is a very exciting trip we are both looking forward too. We have a lot of locations in mind, but for now it is all very much in the early planning stages. We are just taking each day as it comes.

So I guess that is a very quick update about my life right now. Not very exciting, but I feel like I needed to let ya know that I am alive and well. And hopefully my blog will be getting active again in the next wee while. I am also hoping to get a small online print shop opened up, but that's me being very optimistic. Hey ho, signing out now.

Thanks for reading guys and keep your eyes peeled from a brand spanking new travel related post coming soon!
